“Flexible Energy Storage Wearable Supercapacitors"

Recently, the emerging flexible and wearable electronic devices require compatible, safe, and light-weight energy storage devices to serve as power sources for the next-generation wearable electronics industry. Supercapacitors (SCs) can provide a higher power density and longer cyclability in comparison to the batteries that are currently being used in wearable electronics. However, the conventional SCs in spite of having excellent electrochemical characteristics cannot fulfill the requirements of flexible and wearable applications because of their bulkier nature, incompatibility, lack of flexibility and strength, and human comforts, such as breathability and mobility. A flexible SCs can offer an attractive alternative for integration in multifunctional flexible/wearable electronics systems.
