DMN-604: Instrumentation and Data Mining Techniques

Course Outline

• This is a course of Four (4) credit.
• It consists of Three (3) hours lectures, One (1) hour tutorial and Two (2) hour practical lab sessions per week.
  
• The basic thrust of the course would be to impart knowledge of basic principles, methods, and applications of instrumentation, data processing and data mining
• We will try to stick to the basic course outline as given in Syllabus, but may deviate a bit.
  
• Prerequisite: Nil.
• Performance Evaluation: Class Work Sessional (CWS) = 15%, Practical Sessional (PRS) = 15%, Mid-Term Exam (MTE) = 30%, End-Term Exam (ETE) = 40%.

• This is an elective course for M.Tech. (DMM) I year students of CoEDMM (Total Strength: 6).

• Lecture Class Timings:
  Tuesdays: 4 - 6 PM and Thursdays: 5 - 6 PM, Lecture Venue: Faculty Room - 2, CoEDMM

• Tutorial Class Timings:
  Wednesdays (5 - 6 PM), Venue: Faculty Room - 2, CoEDMM
  

• Practical Class Timings:
  Mondays (4 - 6 PM), Venue: HPC Lab, CoEDMM
